Juventus are in fourth place in Serie A going into this weekend's fixtures. They host AS Roma who are a place and a point above them and know they just have to win this game. Midweek saw Juventus win at Inter in the first leg of their Italian Cup semi-final. Now they turn their attention back to the defence of their Serie A title and it's on a knife edge at present. They trail leaders Milan by seven points but do have a game in hand. If they can keep winning, then more pressure will be put on the league leaders. Some bad results will end their run of nine straight league titles. A win over Roma will take them into third place. With Milan home to bottom-of-the-table Crotone this weekend, Juventus can't afford to not win this match. They have won their last five games in all competitions and only conceded one goal. Home league form has seen Juventus win their last three with nine goals scored with seven different scorers, so there are plenty of threats to Roma this weekend.

Roma won at Juventus in August but the title had already been won by Juventus. That win ended a run of eight consecutive away league losses at Juventus. They are third in the league at present and six points behind league leaders Milan from the same number of games. It's their home form that has put them into title contention. They have eight wins and three draws but their away form is nowhere near as impressive. Roma have won four out of nine on the road but been beaten four times. Three of their last five away league matches have ended in defeat. They had two big wins over relegation threatened Bologna and Crotone, scoring eight goals. The losses have all been against sides in the current top seven with 11 goals conceded. Only three teams in Serie A have conceded more away league goals than Roma. Go for Juventus to get an important home victory here.
