Juventus host Barcelona in the Champions League and both already have three points in this group. Will it be Cristiano Ronaldo v Lionel Messi? The Argentinian is likely to be in the Barcelona line-up but after testing positive for COVID, we're still not sure Ronaldo will be in the Juventus line-up. The Italian champions began this group with a 2-0 away win at Dynamo Kiev with both goals scored by Alvaro Morata. The weekend saw Juventus have to come from behind to get a 1-1 home draw with Verona. That's their third draw in four league games and in each they were behind in the match. Those draws have left them fifth in the table. Last season saw Juventus disappointingly lose on away goals to Lyon in the last sixteen. The loss in France is their only defeat in the last nine Champions League matches played by Juventus. Home Champions League form has seen them win their last four games, with only a loss to Ajax in the last seven. They have had a few meetings with Barcelona in this competition. Juventus are unbeaten in the last two home games against them, the most recent being a goalless draw in 2017.

Barcelona were in dominant form in their first group game. They beat Hungarian side Ferencvaros 5-1 at home with five different scorers. They hosted Real Madrid on Saturday in La Liga but the first El Clasico of the season was a disaster for them as they suffered a 3-1 defeat. Only one of their last four games has been won, with two defeats. Away form for Barcelona has seen just one loss in their last ten Champions League away games, that was the 4-0 loss at Liverpool two seasons ago. Half of their last 14 away matches in this competition has ended level. Another draw looks on the cards here.
