Jiri Lehecka is the highest remaining seeded player in the bottom half of the National Bank Open. The eighth seed takes on 20th-seeded Rafael Jodar in the fourth round. Jodar beat Lorenzo Musetti in the last round and our prediction is he will defeat Lehecka.
Whoever gets the win will be up against either 18th seed Arthur Fils or unseeded Cameron Norrie in the last eight.
Jiri Lehecka has a 12-7 record on outdoor hard courts this year, the surface for this Masters tournament. His best run came in Miami where he was the runner-up. Quarter-finals have also been reached in Doha and Dubai.
Last week didn't go well for the world number 12, losing in the first round in Los Cabos.
This tournament has seen him beat Vit Kopriva and 27th seed Alexander Blockx, both in straight sets.
Rafael Jodar is only three places below his opponent in the latest rankings, but nine ahead of him in the ATP Live Race.
He has won 45 matches this year and 22 of those have come on outdoor hard courts with seven defeats.
The Washington final was recently reached by Jodar and he was also the runner-up in the Canberra Challenger Tour event.
Wins have come this week against Corentin Moutet (in three) and 11th seed Lorenzo Musetti.
