Italy vs Malta Prediction & Betting Tips - Euro

Italy host Malta in Group C of the Euro 2024 qualifiers. They are second in the group, six points behind England with a game in hand. It's a tight group with Ukraine in third and North Macedonia fourth, both on the same number of points as the Blues. Italy are assured a place in the play-offs but obviously would prefer not to have to go down that route. The defending European champions began their defence with a 2-1 home loss to England. Those two teams meet again on October 17, this time at Wembley. The final set of group fixtures see the Italians face North Macedonia at home and then have an away game against Ukraine. For now though they host Malta and will be fully confident of earning a valuable three points. They won the reverse fixture 2-0 with both goals coming in the first half.

Malta are bottom of this Euro 2024 qualifying group and are already eliminated. They have lost each of their five qualifiers, scoring just once (in North Macedonia) and conceding 11 goals. England put four goals past them but the other games have seen them only concede two in three and just one away to Ukraine. Their last 14 Euro qualifiers have all been lost and the last ten on the road with just one goal. No one expects this to end in anything but a defeat for Malta. We agree with them and go for an Italian win with them ahead at both half and full time.
