Istanbul Basaksehir vs PSG Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Turkish champions Istanbul Basaksehir have had a tough start to their season and with the added responsibilities in Europe it is not going to get any easier. They host PSG in their second game of Group H this Wednesday with both sides hoping to bounce back from Match Day 1 losses. Basaksehir fell 2-0 to Leipzig in Germany while PSG were beaten 2-1 at home by Manchester United. Both sides however recovered in their respective domestic leagues and will be hoping to build on that here. Basaksehir thrashed Antalyaspor 5-1 to continue with their improvement after a faulty start that saw them lose their opening three matches of the season. They have gone unbeaten in three league matches after that weekend win and now the aim is to transfer the form to Europe, where they don’t have a very impressive record. They have failed to score in five of their seven matches this season but heading here after a 5-1 win should give them hope. They have however failed to score in two of their three games at home this season, while Champions League has not brought much joy to them. Before this season, Basaksehir had only played in Champions League qualifiers, where they won just one of the six matches there. They head to this clash winless in five Champions League matches. In the seven Champions League matches they have played, the team has conceded two or more goals in five and managed just one clean sheet.

PSG on the other hand, also recovered from their Champions League loss to Manchester United with a win in their domestic league. They hit Dijon 4-0, to make it 17 goals scored in their last five matches. PSG have three losses and six wins in the nine matches they have played this season and have five clean sheets. They got to the final of the Champions League last season, only to fall 1-0 to Bayern Munich and after the faulty start in the competition, they will try to get back on track in Turkey. They have done well away from home so far in the season, and head here with three straight away wins and with clean sheets in all three, having scored nine goals. Compared to Basaksehir, PSG are better experienced in the Champions League; they have 10 wins in their last 15 matches in the competition though they get here with back to back losses. In their last 36 Champions League matches, PSG have failed to score in just one – the final against Bayern last season
