Ipswich Town vs Bristol City Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Ipswich Town face Bristol City on Tuesday Night (kick off 8pm) having found great form against after a period that saw them dumped out the FA Cup by non-league Maidstone United and a run of games from 16th December to 10th February which saw them win just once, lose twice and draw six games in the Championship. Since Valentine's Day, the Tractor Boys have fallen in love with winning games once again, winning all five since then, scoring 15 goals in those games, and conceding 5. After a 2-0 win at Plymouth Argyle on Saturday, it means that Ipswich have now jumped into second spot in the Championship table once again and have cut the gap on Leicester, which was at one point over 10 points, down to three. With 73 goals already this season in games at Portman Road, it's a good bet the home side will be in amongst them again on Tuesday.

Their opponents are Bristol City who, in contrast to Ipswich, have been rather more frugal in front of goal this season.  They have a better defensive record than Ipswich, conceding just 40 goals this campaign (Ipswich have shipped 45) but they have scored just 39 goals themselves. The Robins lie 13th in the table, some way outside of the relegation zone on 44 points, but perhaps now too far behind the top six to realistically challenge for the playoffs. The Robins have lost two of their last five away games, drawing another two and winning just the one, but they have won five and drawn five of their 17 games on the road. They did however lose at home to Cardiff City on Saturday, their second 0-1 home defeat in succession.
