Tour de France - Stage 10 Predictions & Betting tips - International

 by Matthew Newman |

Stage 10 of the Tour de France has little on over the first 60km but then the dial gets turned up with seven categorised climbs in the last 106km, including a pair of Cat Ones. This is a difficult stage to weigh up as the teams of the GC riders have not been giving breaks much leeway which would lead us to think it will be a Tadej Pogacar stage once more.

The last time the tour came to Le Lioran, Jonas Vingegaard beat Tadej Pogacar in a sprint to the line. It was a stage that Pogacar looked like winning until he was grabbed close to the line, so this has a revenge storyline written all over it.

Pogacar has been by far the strongest rider in the peloton so far in the tour, winning a pair of stages. For Vingegaard to land another success here is going to take a remarkable performance from his Visma teammates.

As it is Bastille Day, there is likely to be plenty of attempts by French riders to attack for glory. Those looking for a bigger price,  Lenny Martinez will be active trying to get away off the front as he always is, while Paul Seixas is the best placed of the French riders. Romain Gregoire has had a poor tour to this point but he is capable of much better.

Our Tour de France - Stage 10 - International prediction

Although Stage 10 is not the toughest day in terms of climbs, they come thick and fast which should make for entertaining racing, especially after a rest day. French riders will be desperate to put on a good show for their home fans on Bastille Day but UAE Team Emirates have had the race by the scruff of the neck and can control things again with two more sprint days coming up. Our Tour de France Stage 10 prediction is Tadej Pogacar to win.
