The ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam will host the third and final ODI between India and South Africa on Saturday afternoon. The series is locked level at 1-1 between the Men in Blue and the Proteas. Let’s get into the match prediction.
After India clinched a 17-run win in the first ODI in Ranchi last weekend, South Africa bit back in Raipur in midweek, securing the second match by four wickets and with four balls to spare.
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Virat Kohli both recorded centuries in the second ODI, while KL Rahul added 66 off 43 deliveries, helping India to 358/5 in their innings. Arshdeep Singh took 2/54 in his 10 overs.
With that result, India have now lost three of their last five one-day internationals, having also been defeated by Australia 2-1 in the series Down Under in October.
Meanwhile, South Africa’s successful run chase in Raipur not only levelled the series but was also the joint-highest successful chase against India in ODIs, equalling Australia’s feat in 2019.
Aiden Markram led the charge with 110 off 98 balls at the top of the order. Matthew Breetzke and Dewald Brevis surpassed the half-century mark, while Marco Jansen took 2/63 in his 10-over allotment.
South Africa have also lost three of their last five ODIs. They are now looking to win their first bilateral ODI series in India since 2015.

Our India vs South Africa Prediction
For many years, India were almost unbeatable at home, but we have seen a change in that narrative in recent times, and they could lose their first ODI series at home to South Africa in a decade.
As we saw in the last two games, India’s batting lineup is their greatest strength and Virat Kohli remains the centre-piece. He has already notched up back-to-back centuries in this series, and we feel he will produce another clutch performance in the final game. Our India vs South Africa prediction is Virat Kohli 30+ runs.
