Nasarawa United have had a flying start to the 2025/26 season of the NPFL and will look to open up a seven-point gap this weekend. Placed at the top of the standings, Nasarawa will be traveling to Lagos to face ninth-placed Ikorodu City. Read on for our prediction of the match.

Hosts Ikorodu posted their second win of the season last time out. They beat Bendel United 1-0 and will be chuffed at having to play back-to-back home games.

Last season they were the third-best performers at home, after winning 15 of 19 league games on their turf. They’ve extended the same this season and are unbeaten in four.

Nasarawa will offer them a tough test as the league leaders visit, looking to uphold a seven-match unbeaten run. The visitors have posted wins in the last five matches, the most recent a 2-1 win at home against Rangers International.

Apart from having the most wins at this point in the season, Nasarawa have also been the toughest to breach, defensively. They have five clean sheets in eight matches, only conceding three goals.

Alongside Rivers United, they have let in the least number of goals. Nasarawa’s season started with a loss, away from home, but they’ve risen from that. In the last three away matches they were unbeaten, and they also defeated Ikorodu on their last visit.
