Hull vs Birmingham Prediction & Betting Tips - Championship

Sixth placed Hull City can boost their chances of making the Championship play-offs on Tuesday evening. They host Birmingham City who are 20th in the table and only out of the relegation places on goal difference. Hull City are in the final promotion play-off position but only a point above seventh placed Norwich City. The Tigers have had two difficult fixtures in recent games. They drew 1-1 at home with fifth placed West Bromwich Albion and on Saturday had a goalless draw at Preston North End who are eighth in the Championship, CIty had won their previous three league fixtures before those draws. Home league form has seen them win seven of their 17 games with five draws and the same number of defeats. They have only earned one point from their last two home league matches so will be all out to get a victory over Birmingham City.

The reverse fixture between these two clubs saw Hull win 2-0 at St Andrews last October. Birmingham's troubled season continues and they are only a couple of places above the bottom three. They could slip into the relegation zone if 22nd placed Stoke can get a better result than City on Tuesday. The Blues had a heartbreaking 4-3 home loss to Southampton on Saturday. They led 1-0 and 2-1 but the Saints scored a 96th minute winner. That was the second successive league loss for City with seven goals conceded. Away form is a big worry with only 11 points from 17 league fixtures this season. Only bottom-of-the-table Rotherham United have earned less away points in the Championship. Birmingham have lost 12 away league matches including the last three. We tip Hull City to win this match.
