Hoffenheim finished fourth in the Bundesliga last season qualifying for the Champions League for the first time. It's only been in the past decade that the club has been able to expand thanks to massive investment and it'd be a major achievement to reach the group stages. Their Bundesliga campaign hasn't started yet and they have won all four of their pre-season friendlies and cup games. Hoffenheim were unbeaten at home in the Bundesliga last season winning 11 and drawing six so this won't be an easy game at all for Liverpool. The Premier League side had a rocky start to their league campaign with a 3-3 draw at Watford. There is unrest at present with Coutinho pushing for a transfer to Barcelona and they have to put that aside. It also doesn't help that this game comes just three days after that opening Premier League game. The big problem that Liverpool has is their defense, common sense would say get rid of Coutinho if he doesn't want to play anymore and use the cash to buy a better back four. An interesting cup tie, go for both teams to score.
