Genoa could present a tough challenge for Juventus, who are on a three-game drawing spree in the 2024-25 Serie A campaign. This match at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium on Saturday is likely to throw up a surprise, and our prediction is for the home team to pick up at least a point.
Ahead of this round, Genoa is 16th in the standings with five points and only one above the relegation zone. The visiting Juventus is fourth in the standings with nine points and only two behind leaders Torino. Genoa started the season with a draw and win but have since fizzled out. They lost two and drew one of their next three matches coming into this weekend.
Both those defeats have come by a 2-0 scoreline, and in fact, Genoa have just one goal from their last three matches. Speaking of goals, Juventus have scored no goals in their last three league matches, all ending in 0-0 draws. They are still the best defensive unit in the division, as no team has scored a goal against Juventus so far this season.
That doesn’t put Juventus on the high road to success, because they need to find goals themselves. They have drawn their last away league game 0-0 against Empoli and were held to a 1-1 stalemate by Genoa last season at this venue.
