Sunday’s Week 2 schedule at the 2026 FIVB Nations League will see France facing off against Japan. Ryujin Nippon have been flawless in this competition, and our prediction is that they will end Week 2 unbeaten. 

After a very poor first week in which they lost three of their four games, France have been much better in Week 2, winning all three of their matches against Iran, Cuba, and most recently, Serbia.

Meanwhile, Japan have been the best team in the 2026 VNL. After edging the USA to a thrilling 3-2 victory, they are now the only team in the competition still unbeaten after seven games. 

Ran Takashi is currently the team’s leading scorer with 140 points, which ranks third in the competition. Kento Miyaura had an impressive showing in the last match, putting up 20 points against the USA. 

Japan lead the standings and are now on an eight-match win streak. They have also won three of their last four VNL matches against this opponent.
