The opening day of Week 3 at the 2026 FIVB Nations League will draw to a close with France taking on Brazil. The past two VNL encounters between these sides were tightly contested, which sees us favouring the points market for our prediction in this one.

Meanwhile, after a flawless first week in the 2026 VNL, Brazil endured a notable dip in Week 2, losing three of their four games, which has seen them slip all the way to ninth in the standings. 

Since the first match of the competition, Darlan Souza has led Canarinhos in points. The 24-year-old opposite spiker is now on 112 points, which puts him 12th in the leading scorer standings. 

Brazil has won six of their last 10 matches in all competitions. They have only won one of their eight 2026 VNL games in straight sets.
