Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Predictions & Betting tips - Formule 1

With the first quarter of the season now in the rearview mirror, Formula 1 heads to Imola this weekend for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix on Sunday. Oscar Piastri leads the driver standings with 131 points, Lando Norris is second with 115 points, and Max Verstappen is third with 99 points. Let’s get into the race prediction. 

Trust Imola to produce, and that’s exactly what we got in qualifying, where we saw two red flags flown, including one for rookie Franco Colapinto, who went off in Q1. He also received a one-place grid penalty for a rule breach. 

Oscar Piastri continued his incredible form and will start on pole for the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix, clocking a time of 1m 14.670 on his final lap to pip world champion Max Verstappen.

However, arguably the most impressive qualifying runs came in midfield from the Mercedes of George Russell, who finished third, and Fernando Alonso in fifth. 

Lando Norris had another underwhelming qualifying, picking up fourth, 0.292 seconds slower than his teammate. The Brit also conceded in the post qualifying press conference that he made too many mistakes. 

Carlos Sainz, Alexander Albon, Lance Stoll, Isack Hadjar and Pierre Gasly rounded out P6 through P10. Yuki Tsunoda had a massive crash but walked away. He will start from the back of the grid.
