It's not been a year to remember for Fiorentina who begin this Serie A game 13th in the table and only four points above the relegation zone. They host AS Roma who are fourth in the table and seven points behind the league leaders Inter Milan. Fiorentina have only won six league games all year, three of them in a row in September and October. They are in poor form again at present with no wins in their last six league games. Four consecutive games had been lost before a 1-1 home draw with Inter. It was nearly five in a row as they were behind for 84 minutes until a 92nd minute equalizer. Fiorentina have only two points from their last four home league matches and have only won two of their eight this season. Not many goals though with just 19 in eight matches and four of the last five have had under 2.5 goals scored in them.

AS Roma are having another good season and currently fill the final Champions League qualifying position. They are undefeated in their last six league and cup matches with three wins in their last four Serie A matches, the other game being a goalless draw at Inter. Their most recent league match was a 3-1 home victory over SPAL who are bottom of the table. Away form has been solid this season in Serie A with just one loss in eight games. That defeat was at Parma but four of their eight have been won and only four sides have achieved more in the Italian top flight this season. Go for an away win in this game.
