Two seeds meet in round four of the outdoor hard court Shanghai Masters. Eighth-seeded Lorenzo Musetti takes on 12th-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime with a place in the last eight up for grabs.. Here’s our match prediction.

Felix Auger-Aliassime has made it to round four (the last 16) without dropping a set. The Canadian has had wins over Alejandro Tabilo (who recently beat Musetti) and Jesper De Jong. He’s now 13th in the live rankings but tenth in the ATP Race with a good chance of reaching the Tour Finals.

These two players have had seven previous meetings. Musetti leads 4-3 overall but Auger-Aliassime is 2-1 up on hard courts. Their most recent meeting saw Musetti win in this year’s Miami hard court tournament.

In the quarter-finals, the winner of this match will be up against either 15th seed Jiri Lehecka or unseeded Arthur Rinderknech.

Lorenzo Musetti has so far beaten Francisco Comesana and 26th seed Luciano Darderi, both in straight sets. It took him 131 minutes to get past Darderi. He's won 18 hard court matches in 2025 but that's nine fewer than his opponent has had.

The 23-year-old Italian is eighth in both the live rankings and ATP Race. He recently reached the Chengdu hard court final.
