FK Krasnodar vs Rennes Prediction & Betting Tips - Champions League

Both Krasnodar and Rennes have found the going tough in their first taste of the Champions League group stages. The two sides, playing at this stage for the first time ever, are still in the search of their opening Group E wins ahead of the Match Day 5 clash in Russia. Hosts Krasnodar are third on one point, same to bottom placed Rennes, who have an inferior goal difference. In this game, the two sides can only fight for a place in the Europa League, as none can finish in second place at the least. Krasnodar head to this clash after a 1-0 loss to Khimki in their domestic league and have only one win in their last nine matches. They have lost seven of their last nine matches and have managed just one clean sheet in the last 15 matches but have failed to score in only four of the 15 matches. In the last four matches at home, Krasnodar have lost three but they will bank on their experience in the Champions League heading to this game. While it is their first time playing in the group stages, Krasnodar have played in the Champions League qualifying rounds before and this will be their 11th Champions League game in history. They have three wins in the 10 played so far but none has produced a clean sheet and each of the last three has seen the team concede two goals or more.

Rennes on the other hand, head to this game having stopped a four-game losing run with a 1-1 draw at Strasbourg. They are not enjoying a very good run and will hope to at least get a win here to boost their Europa League hopes. One win in their last 11 matches, however, is not a run they will look at with inspiration heading to this game. They have lost six of their last eight matches and have no clean sheet in the process, while they have failed to score in four. Rennes head to this game, having registered no win in their last five away matches and have only scored twice in the five games, while conceding nine goals. In their last away match in the Champions League, they started brightly against Chelsea but their luck ran out when Chelsea won two first half penalties. They also had a man sent off in the first half and in the end lost 3-0. They will be hoping for a better showing here.
