The big fixture in the Bundesliga this weekend sees Bayern Munich welcoming Borussia Monchengladbach to the Allianz Arena. Top of the table and clear of their nearest rivals by seven points, Bayern could win the title this weekend if results go their way. It would be an unprecedented eighth consecutive title. Gladbach, meanwhile, are in fourth place and face fierce competition for that last Champions League spot from Bayer Leverkusen, who are only behind on goal difference. Bayern have been in spectacular form since Hansi Flick took over in November, winning 23 of his 26 matches in charge. Their squad has a seemingly perfect balance between winning experience and youthful potential. While they have been steamrolling all opponents who cross them - winning their last nine league games - Bayern will be without two key players, Robert Lewandowski and Thomas Muller, on Saturday due to respective suspensions. Lewandowski is the league's leading scorer with 30 and Muller tops the assist charts with 20.

Gladbach have been inconsistent in recent weeks with only one win from their last four matches. That win was a thumping 4-1 victory over Union Berlin. One would expect better from a team with Marcus Thuram in their frontline. Thuram has been one of the breakout stars of the league season and Gladbach will be extra dependent on him as striker Alassane Plea is serving a ban after receiving his marching orders in their 1-0 defeat to Freiburg. Away from home, Gladbach are underperforming in terms of their league position, failing to win seven of their 15 matches on the road, the sixth-best record in the top tier. Gladbach's recent record against Bayern is quite impressive as they've won three of their last five meetings. However, we would be more inclined to focus on a goals bet as each of those last five meetings featured at least three goals. Back Bayern to win and both teams to score.
