Bayern Munich took a massive step towards winning the Bundesliga when winning at Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday. The 1-0 win took them seven points clear at the top and they will fully expect three points when hosting Fortuna Dusseldorf who are 16tb in the league. Bayern have won ten of their 14 home league games this season and are bidding to make it seven straight wins when they host Dusseldorf. They have won the last three, scoring ten goal and that win at Dortmund made it 12 wins and a draw from their last 13 league fixtures. They score plenty but have only conceded in one of their last seven.

Fortuna Dusseldorf boosted their hopes of avoiding relegation when beating Schalke 04 2-1 on Wednesday evening. Thay are only a point from safety now as the eight teams above them all failed to get a win in midweek. They went 1-0 down against out-of-form Schalke but two goals in six minutes took them to that importan victory. Dusseldorf had drawn their previous four league games and have just one loss in their nine league matches. However, they willl do well to get anything from this match. Their run-in isn't an easy one with games against all of the top three in the table.  They have only won two of their 14 away league matches this season but three of the last four have ended level. Dusseldorf have conceded 29 away league goals and the reverse fixture against Bayern was played in November and saw them lose 4-0. Go for Bayern to get the win here on a -2 handicap.
