Things haven’t gone right for Everton in the recent matches and they will be out to correct that when they host Norwich on Match Day 6 of the Premier League. Everton go to the game placed sixth with 10 points and Norwich bottom of the standings without a point so far. The hosts need a response in this game after their elimination from the League Cup by QPR right before this game, and earlier they had lost to Aston Villa in the league. They have six losses in their seven matches this season, one of them in the League Cup clash against Liverpool right ahead of this game. Four of their last five matches have produced over 2.5 goals, with Norwich mostly on the receiving end. They’ve scored two goals in their five league matches so far, and conceded 14. In their last league game, they suffered a 3-1 loss at the hands of fellow promoted side Watford, then went on to lose 3-0 to Liverpool. Just months after leading the team back to the top flight, Daniel Farke’s job may soon be under scrutiny and he will want a positive result at the Merseyside to quell that.
