Liverpool return to Premier League action needing just six points to win the title. They lead the table by 22 points and look to extend that advantage with a win at 12th placed Everton. They would have loved the chance to clinch the title with a win against their local rivals. That's not possible though after Manchester City beat Arsenal on Wednesday. The Reds have won 12 of their 14 away league games this season. Their only loss was a surprising defeat at Watford just before the league was suspended. No unbeaten season then, but as long as that elusive Premier League title is won their fans won't care. Not since 2010 have they lost an away league game to Everton. The reverse fixture saw them hammer the Toffees 5-2.

That loss saw Everton sack their manager Marco Silva and at the time they were in the relegation zone. Everton spent big in the summer and their owner didn't plan on them being in a relegation battle. They have made big improvements under new boss Carlo Ancelotti and although 12th, are only seven points behind sixth placed Sheffield United. Everton only managed one point from their final three games before the season was halted. That included losses to Chelsea and Arsenal, both on their travels. Their last home league game was a draw against Manchester United. Everton haven't enjoyed a great deal of success against their local rivals, go for an away win here.
