Eintracht Frankfurt had been unbeaten in 15 league and cup games before traveling to Portugal for the first leg of this Europa League quarter-final. It all started to go wrong for them when N'Diko was sent off after conceding the 21st minute penalty that gave the home side the lead. Despite Frankfurt equalizing 19 minutes later, a second goal from Felix just two minutes before the break saw Frankfurt fall behind again. It got worse for the 10-men in the second-half as they conceded goals in the 50th and 54th minutes with Felix completing his hat-trick as Benfica surged to a 4-1 lead. Thankfully for the German club they didn't concede anyf more goals and pulled one back in the 72nd minute. The weekend saw them suffer a blow to their hopes of Champions League football next season as they lost 3-1 at home to Augsburg. They will hope to bounce back to form on Thursday and have a good home record in the Europa League this season with four wins and a draw.
