Denver Nuggets sit at the top of the Northwest Division in the Western Conference of the NBA. They look to improve on their 34-16 season record when hosting the Portland Trail Blazers who are fourth in the same division. Denver are third overall in their conference but only a couple of wins ahead of Utah Jazz in their division, so can't afford any slip-ups. They come into this game with a 19-6 home record and have been victorious in all seven of their matches played against other teams in their division. That includes a vital home win over Utah at the end of last month. They began February with a loss in Detroit but should win this game back on home territory, The Nuggets have met the Trail Blazers twice already this season, winning both games.

Portland are 23-27 for the season and are just one place outside the postseason qualfication positions. Only ten of their 26 away games have ended in victory this season and six of ten games against other sides in their division have been lost. February started for them with a home victory over Utah Jazz, their fourth straight victory as they try to claim that final postseason spot. All four of those wins have come at home and only one of their last four matches on the road has been won. This looks booked for a home win.
