Dayana Yastremska has continued her excellent start to her grass court campaign this week. The last eight of the Eastbourne International sees her take on qualifier Alexandra Eala. Here's our match prediction.
Whoever wins this match will take on either qualifier Varvara Gracheva or second-seeded Barbora Krejcikova in the last four. Krejcikova is the only seeded player left in this WTA 250 tournament.
Last weekend saw Yastremska lose in the final of the Nottingham Open. That was her second final of the year. This week has seen her beat fifth seed Magda Linette and wild card Francesca Jones and is now 41st in the live rankings.
Alexandra Eala is up to a career-high 68th after winning four matches so far this week. The 20-year-old is attempting to reach her third semi-final of the year but the first on grass. One quarter-final has already been reached this year on grass, reaching that stage in the Ilkley Challenger.
The qualifier had to come from a set down to beat Hailey Baptiste in her second match. In the main draw, Eala has beaten Lucia Bronzetti for the loss of one game. Then she lost the first set of her match against Jelena Ostapenko 6-0. Eala levelled and then her opponent retired in set three.
