Crystal Palace vs Brighton Predictions & Betting Tips (Premier League)

Crystal Palace may be 12th in the Premier League but a relegation battle may well be on its way. They host Brighton and Hove Albion who are sixth in the table and even in with a chance of Champions League football next season. There may be a fair distance between these two clubs but this is termed the M23 derby and the two sets of fans definitely don't get along. Palace are only six points above the relegation zone and a form guide for the last five league games has them 19th with just two points. Their most recent league fixture ended in a 2-1 loss at Manchester United. They have only won one of their last eight Premier League fixtures, a win at out-of-form Bournemouth on the last day of 2022. Home form has seen only two points earned from the last four at Selhurst Park with eight goals conceded. With a difficult upcoming fixture list including games against the top two, Palace might well be in danger of going down to the Championship.

Brighton and Hove Albion fans have some big dreams at present. They are currently only six points behind fourth placed Newcastle United and have a game in hand on them. The Seagulls are unbeaten in four league games since a home loss to Arsenal at the start of the year. Ten goals have been scored in those four matches, though they needed a late goal to beat Bournemouth 1-0 at home last weekend. Their change of coach hasn't seemed to have affected them at all. On their travels, Brighton have won five of their 10 Premier League games this season. Along with Leicester City, they are the joint highest away goalscorers in the league this season with 21 goals. Three of the last four have been won with 11 goals put past their opposition. Their last three league visits to Selhurst Park have ended 1-1 and they are unbeaten in four against Palace. Their form suggests an away win for Brighton this weekend.
