Croatia will play host to Armenia in their final group-stage match of the 2023 Euro qualifiers on Tuesday evening. The hosts are second in the group, while the visitors are fourth. Croatia are two points above Wales, who face group leaders Turkey in the other match in the group. While Croatia are the favourites to finish second in this group, they will still have a chance to qualify for the Euros even if Wales overtakes them. The Checkered Ones won their group in the Nations League, earning them a guaranteed playoff spot. Nevertheless, they will want to get the job done here and will be confident of doing so, having beaten this opponent 1-0 in the reverse fixture. The hosts also secured a 2-0 win over Latvia on Saturday evening. Croatia’s only losses at home in their last ten matches were against Turkey and Spain. As a result, it is unsurprising that they are strong favourites in this one. 

Meanwhile, Armenia have given another good account of themselves in these qualifiers. However, their run will come to an end here, as they are five points behind the top two and three behind Wales in third place. Havakakan dealt Wales a major blow over the weekend, holding the Dragons to a 1-1 draw at home. That result did end a three-match losing streak for Armenia though they are still winless in their last five. Their biggest issue of late has been in defence, where they have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 16 matches in all competitions. The last time they shut out an opponent was in July 2022. Armenia have also failed to win any of their last three away games and are likely to struggle in this match as well.
