Both Club Brugge and Lazio won their opening games in this Champions League group. The Belgian side went to Zenit St Petersburg and came away with a 2-1 win. Opponents Lazio had an impressive 3-1 home victory over Borussia Dortmund. Brugge had to rely on a 90th minute winner to get that opening victory away at Zenit but didn't build on that at the weekend. They lost 2-1 away at OH Leuve, their third loss in the opening ten games of the new Belgian Jupiler season. They are second in that table but began the season with two home losses, failing to score in either of them. Home form in the Champions League is nothing to be pleased about. The last two games have seen them concede eight goals against PSG and Real Madrid. Only two of the last 13 have been won in the past five years.

Lazio started the group off with a 3-1 win over Borussia Dortmund and with Zenit St Petersburg in their next two matches after this, they will look to continue that good start. They had been struggling before that Champions League game with two losses and a draw. However, they followed up the win over Dortmund with a 2-1 home victory over Bologna on Saturday, though they remain 12th in Serie A. Their away form in the Champions League isn't good though. Lazio haven't got a good away record in European football with five straight losses in the Europa League over the past two seasons. A bet on both teams to score looks the safest one to make for this game.
