Week 3 of the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League kicks off with Canada taking on Argentina on Wednesday morning. Canada are on a six-match losing streak, and our prediction is that they will suffer defeat in this one as well. 

Canada have endured a tough 2026 Nations League campaign to this point, losing seven of their eight matches to date, which sees them enter Week 3 down in 16th place in the standings. 

Jackson Howe has been the team’s standout performer in the competition with 91 points. The 28-year-old has racked up a massive 33 blocks - the most of any player in this year’s tournament. 

Canada have lost eight of their last 10 matches in all competitions and four of their last five against their upcoming opponents. 

Meanwhile, Argentina had a better second week in the 2026 VNL, winning two of their four games after losing all four in Week 1. They are now 15th in the standings coming into this match. 

La Selección’s most effective player in the competition has been Luciano Vicentin with 125 points. Nicolas Zerba leads the team’s defence with 13 of his 49 points coming off blocks. 

Argentina have won seven of their last 10 matches in all competitions and have won their last four VNL encounters against Canada.
