Burnley will be doing their best to beat Chelsea in this game but will be praying that their opponents win at the weekend. That's because it looks very much now as if Burnley will finish seventh in the Premier League and that will qualify them for the Europa League next season as long as Southampton, who play Chelsea at Wembley this weekend in the FA Cup semi-final don't go on to lift the trophy. Burnley had a 2-1 home win over Leicester City at the weekend and that takes them nine points clear of the eighth placed side. They are only six points behind Arsenal in sixth and play them on the final day of the league season. The win was their fifth straight league victory and four of them have been by a 2-1 scoreline. Home form has seen two wins and two draws in the last four, a good recovery from three straight home losses in December and January. Still a lack of goals with only 14 scored and 13 conceded in 16 home league games, that's just 39 less than Manchester City have scored at home this season.
Chelsea came from 2-0 down to get a 3-2 win at Southampton on Saturday and after Tottenham lost to Manchester City, they are now only seven points off the top four. They probably need to win all of their final five league games to have any chance of getting into the Champions League but with games against Burnley and Liverpool, that's a tough ask. Chelsea will be regretting that surprise 3-2 home loss they had against Burnley on the opening day of the season, the second game in a row they'd failed to beat them after a draw here last season. The win at Southampton ended a run of three straight away league defeats that have cost them dearly. This isn't easy to predict and Chelsea may rest some players ahead of that FA Cup semi-final. Burnley are in good form and Chelsea still dodgy on their travels, so go for the double chance of Burnley-draw.
