Bristol City can move into the Championship promotion play-off positions if beating Norwich City at home on Friday. The Robins are seventh in the table with their opponents four places below them. Here's our match prediction.

Just one place and a single point separates Bristol City from the promotion play-off positions after Tuesday's games. They drew 1-1 at home to Hull City after trailing in that match. That was their second successive 1-1 draw and they really need to get a win from this match.

The Robins have won nine home league games this season with only three defeats. Seven points have been earned from their last three home fixtures. Wins came against Stoke and Middlesbrough before the Hull draw.

Norwich City's hopes of returning to the Premier League suffered a major blow on Tuesday evening. The Canaries were beaten 3-2 at home by Sheffield Wednesday. It was a particularly painful loss as they led 2-0 in that game before conceding three goals in 12 second-half minutes.

City are now seven points behind the top six with just nine games remaining. They have gone three league fixtures without a win and just one in the last seven has been won. On the road, Norwich have won four away league games with eight losses.
