Which of these two Americans will reach the outdoor hard court Cincinnati Open final? 27th seed Brandon Nakashima faces 17th-seeded Frances Tiafoe in the last four. Nakashima is attempting to reach a second successive final, and our prediction is he will win this match.

Either seventh seed Flavio Cobolli or 21st-seeded Arthur Fils will be faced in Sunday's final.

Brandon Nakashima is up to a career-high 16th in the live rankings, that's a couple of places above his opponent who was ahead of him before this Masters tournament. Nakashima will also go above Tiafoe in the ATP Live Race if he wins this match.

He was the runner-up in the recent Canadian Open and earlier this year was a finalist in Brisbane. The semi-finals were also reached in Acapulco and Washington and he has a 21-8 record on this surface in 2026.

So far in Cincinnati, he's had four wins, including beating Daniil Medvedev and Taylor Fritz.

TIafoe leads his opponent 7-1 in previous meetings and 5-1 on outdoor hard courts, but they're 1-1 in games played since 2022.

One outdoor hard court final has been reached by Tiafoe this year and he was the runner-up here in 2024.  He has beaten three seeds so far here and defeated Lorenzo Musetti in straight sets in the quarter-final. He's lost one set so far.
