Bournemouth go into this game knowing they have to start winning or prepare for life in the Championship. They are 18th in the table and in terrible form, so the visit of eighth-placed Tottenham. Tuesday was not a good night for Bournemouth as Watford earned a vital 2-1 win over Norwich City. That means the Cheries are now four points from safety with five games remaining. Their form is appalling at present with five league defeats in a row and just a single point from the last eight.  Their run-in sees them face Tottenham, Leicester, Manchester City, Southampton and Everton. Relegation is looking very likely indeed. Home form has seen them get one point from the last three with eight goals conceded. Defending is their major problem with nine conceded in the last two Premier League matches, including a 4-1 home loss to Newcastle United.

Tottenham had a good home win against Everton on Monday. They needed that victory to maintain their hopes of European football next season. They are eighth in the table and that's ten points behind the top four. Even if fifth was good enough to get a Champions League place (depending on whether Manchester City remain banned), that's a seven point difference, so their best hope looks like being the Europa League. Sixth place is four points away but the ever increasingly complicated situation could see their current eighth get them in. Whatever is needed, they need to build on two wins from their last three league fixtures. This trip to Bournemouth looks an ideal opportunity for them as they take on the shaky Bournemouth defence. Tottenham have only won three away league games this season but surely they can prosper against Bournemouth. Go for an away win.
