An Eastern Conference clash in the NBA sees the Boston Celtics hosting the Philadelphia 76ers in this eagerly anticipated matchup. The Celtics are the current holders of the NBA’s best record with 38 wins and 16 losses, putting them just one game ahead of the surging Bucks in the East. The Celtics are coming off a 111-99 away win over the Detroit Pistons in their previous game, a result which has made it three wins from the last four games for the 2022 NBA Finals runners-up. Boston has been rolling this season and are the current oddsmakers’ favorites to lift the NBA Championship trophy with odds of around 5.00. The Celtics have won 20 of their 27 games at the TD Garden so far this year and won their first matchup with the 76ers 126-117 on this court earlier in the season. 

Standing in their way is a 76ers team looking to bounce back after falling 108-97 to the New York Knicks in the second game of their current three game road trip. Despite the loss, Philadelphia is in strong overall form with eight wins from their last 10 games. The Sixers have also put together a fantastic recent run of road wins which has moved their away record to a very respectable 14 wins and 10 losses. Philadelphia sits third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 34 wins and 18 losses, putting them three games behind their opponents today. MVP candidate Joel Embiid will need to be at his best if the 76ers are to walk away with a win and the visitors will also need to devise a way to deal with another MVP candidate in the Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.
