They will be hoping for a more comfortable win on Wednesday as they look to overturn a 2-1 loss in the first leg in England. That will call for a better defensive performance, after conceding two in each of the last four matches, though they’ve scored in 39 straight matches ahead of this. The team has managed one clean sheet in the last seven matches, conceding eight in the last five but scoring nine. Dortmund’s key forward Erling Haaland hasn’t scored in the last three matches, but he has two assists in the last two. They head here with a good home run, having lost just once in the last nine but winning five and keeping three clean sheets. In the last eight Champions League matches, Dortmund have one loss and five wins; they’ve gone winless in the last two and conceded two in each of the last three. One man they’ll really bank on here is Kevin De Bruyne, who has been the best performer at the team in recent times. He is the most consistent scorer with three goals in the last five matches. Each of the other six of nine goals scored in the last five matches have had different scorers. City carry to this game a fine away run, having won each of the last 15 and are unbeaten in 18. They have eight wins in their nine Champions League matches this season and have conceded just two goals all through. Away from home in the competition, they’re unbeaten in eight, and with four straight clean sheets.
