This PBA Governors' Cup Group B rematch sees second-placed Blackwater lock horns with fourth-placed Magnolia on Friday. Bossing have lost three of their last four games in the conference, while the Hotshots have won four of their last five, including the last three, by impressive margins. This leads us to back Magnolia for a comfortable win in our prediction. 

Blackwater Bossing stunned Phoenix Fuel Masters with a 106–100 victory last time out before the break, rallying from behind to edge the contest. Phoenix’s B. J. Johnson led all scorers with a staggering 45 points, but Kentrell Barkley (34) and Sedrick Barefield (26) combined for 60 to inspire the comback victory. 

However, Patrick Aquino’s team may struggle to maintain that winning momentum on Friday. They have lost three of their last four games in the conference and eight of their last 10 meetings with Magnolia Hotshots across all conferences.

Meanwhile, Magnolia Hotshots went into the break enjoying a purple patch in the conference. They saw off Phoenix Fuel Masters 115–101 in their last outing to secure their fourth win in five games.

That result also marked their fourth win in five games in the conference, all of which by double-digit margins. LA Tenorio’s team suffered an 89–81 defeat to Blackwater in their first meeting of the conference, but their superior overall head-to-head record has them on the front foot ahead of Friday's rematch.
