Belgium and Canada will face off at the 2026 Volleyball Nations League on Saturday evening. With both these sides being desperate for a win, our prediction is leaning toward a hard-fought battle that will go beyond three sets. 

Belgium’s debut campaign in the Nations League has not gone as they would have hoped. With three wins and eight losses, they are in 16th place, and a loss here will end their hopes of qualifying for the final round. 

The biggest positive for Belgium in this competition has been the form of Ferre Reggers. He is averaging a massive 22.18 points per match and is the outright leading scorer in the tournament. 

Belgium are on a five-match losing streak and have lost 10 of their last 15 games in all competitions.

Canada have endured a dismal 2026 VNL campaign, losing 10 of their 11 matches. Owing to China’s guaranteed path to the final round, they are confirmed to be relegated from the Nations League. 

Despite their poor showing this year, Jackson Howe has been a standout performer for the Canadians. He has 127 points in competition to date, including a massive 42 block points. 

Canada are on a nine-match losing streak. They also lost their last encounter against this opponent 3-1 during qualification for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
