Lithuanian giants BC Zalgiris Kaunas face a steep test as they welcome defending champions Olympiacos to Zalgirio Arena in Round 2 of the 2026-27 EuroLeague season this evening. Olympiacos have taken nine of the last 10 EuroLeague meetings between these two sides, prompting us to back the away team in our prediction.
BC Zalgiris Kaunas shot 40% from three-point range and 44% overall to stun Crvena Zvezda 83–77 on the road in their EuroLeague opener last Thursday. Carsen Edwards led the charge, scoring a game-high 19 points, as they eased past Siauliai in domestic league action at the weekend to continue their strong start to the campaign.
However, the one-time EuroLeague champions faced a far sterner challenge against visiting Olympiacos this evening, having lost nine of the last 10 EuroLeague meetings with Olympiacos.
Five days after losing the EuroLeague Super Cup final to Real Madrid, Olympiacos roared back to winning ways by thrashing Baskonia 106–89 in their EuroLeague opener. They enter this clash off the back of a 101–96 Greek Super Cup final victory over PAOK on Sunday.
