The return to action after the international break gives Bayern Munich and Stuttgart opportunity to bounce back after tough recent outings. The Bavarians will host Die Roten in this Saturday encounter and we have the preview and a prediction for the match.
The past few weeks haven't been smooth for Bayern Munich, but they’ll be happy to still be top of the Bundesliga standings. Ahead of the international break, they went winless in three straight matches, among them their first loss of the season.
In their latest outing, they suffered a late heartbreak in a 3-3 draw with Eintracht Frankfurt. It won’t be any easier against Stuttgart either, as they’ve struggled lately in this fixture, winning twice in five meetings.
The last time these teams met, Stuttgart won 3-1. That was last season as they went on to finish ahead of Bayern Munich. In this fixture, Stuttgart have somewhat impressed lately.
That is the charm they’ll want to carry here though in their last five visits to Bayern Munich they only got two points. The last time Stuttgart won in Munich was in 2018 and by their recent form, repeating that will be a tall order.
Two wins in their last six away Bundesliga matches do not constitute the best form heading into such a match. Before going into the international break, Stuttgart needed a stoppage time goal to draw 1-1 at home to Hoffenheim. That marked their third straight draw.
