Monday’s T20 World Cup action gets underway with Bangladesh taking on Nepal at the Amos Vale Stadium. The Tigers are currently in second place in Group D, while Nepal are fourth. Bangladesh have emerged as one of the surprise packages at the tournament this year and are on the verge of reaching the Super Eight. They are currently on four points after three games and need just one point to qualify for the knockouts. The Tigers got the tournament started in the best way possible, beating Sri Lanka by two wickets, chasing down 125. A loss against group winners South Africa followed but they bounced back in style to overcome the Netherlands in game three by 25 runs. That leaves them on a net run rate of +0.478, which is the best of any team in the group and could be crucial if they end level on points with the Flying Dutchmen. Bangladesh have won three of their last five T20Is and are the bookmakers’ favourite in this one.

Meanwhile, while Nepal cannot qualify for the Super Eights, they will be looking to end the tournament on a positive note. They were beaten by the Netherlands by six wickets in their opening match before game two against Sri Lanka was washed out. In game three, Nepal almost pulled off the shock of the tournament, coming up just one run shy of beating South Africa. The Rhinos have now lost each of their last five T20 matches in all competitions, with their last victory coming against Saudi Arabia back in the T20 Premier Cup in April.
