AZ Alkmaar concluded the March timetable in the Eredivisie without a win. They recorded two draws and one loss and conceded eight goals.

De Kaasboeren come into this match winless in four league games. Their most recent match was against basement boys RKC Waalwijk. Despite opening the scoring through a Troy Parrott effort in the 13th minute, they ended up sharing the spoilers in a 2-2 draw.

The 41-year-old did not start on a positive note playing a goalless draw against NEC Nijmegen in his first league match in charge. Since then, De Kuip has been singing his praises, as the visitors come into this match boasting a three-match winning streak with 13 goals scored.

Last time out, De club aan de Maas had no trouble dispatching Groningen in a 4-1 home victory on Wednesday. Igor Paixão was the standout player in that match, bagging a brace.
