It's likely that by the time this game kicks off, Manchester City will have won the title. Their neighbours Manchester United are in second and travel to Aston Villa who are in tenth. A win for City over Chelsea on Saturday will give them the Premier League title. The weekend begins with them 13 points clear of United, so it is a case of when not if the title is won. United are four points clear of Leicester at present but that could be just one if Leicester beat Newcastle on Friday. They will have two games in hand by that stage, so a win at Villa will keep them on track for the runners-up spot. Thursday saw United get to the final of the Europa League, finally ending that recent semi-final hoodoo. United are unbeaten in their last 13 Premier League games, with one loss in 27. Two of their last five games are away from home. Just two games left to go through the season without losing an away Premier League match. The final away game is at Wolves, so United have a good chance of achieving that feat. 24 away league games have been played since their last loss, that was at Anfield in January 2020.

Aston Villa go into this game with an outside chance of European football next season. Their 2-1 win at Everton last week has left them six points behind seventh placed Liverpool and with a game in hand. Finishing seventh would take them into the new UEFA Europa Conference League but they don't have an easy run-in. As well as playing Manchester United, they still have to go to Tottenham and host Everton and Chelsea. The win at Goodison Park was only the second they have had in nine league games, the other at home to Fulham. Only one of their last six at home have been won and they continue to be without Jack Grealish. Go for an away win here.
