Arsenal vs West Ham Prediction & Betting Tips - Premier League

Arsenal will be back at the Emirates Stadium to host West Ham United in the Premier League, after their away win over Portsmouth in the FA Cup. Both sides are in the bottom half of the standings, with Arsenal 10th on 37 points and West Ham 16th on 27 points. Arsenal’s loss to Olympiacos in the Europa League came with a huge impact and was enough to destabilize the team but the response at Portsmouth was superb and The Gunners will be keen to build on it. The loss was the only one for Arsenal in the last 12 matches, and manager Mikel Arteta can take credit for the fine run the team has had. They have won seven of their last 12 matches. They have scored two or more goals in three of the last five and have kept four clean sheets in the last six matches. Arsenal haven’t lost at home in the Premier League this year; of the four matches they have hosted in the Premier League, they have three wins and a draw. They have played 14 league matches at home this season but failed to score in just one of those – against Manchester City. They have however won just six of the 14 league matches at home. They have beaten West Ham in four of their last five meetings.

West Ham on the other hand, just managed to fashion their first win in nine matches when they beat Southampton 3-1 in their last game. Three of their last four matches have yielded over 2.5 goals and in the three, they have scored two or more goals. They have however lost each of their last five away matches in the Premier League, conceding two or more goals in four of those, though they have scored in three. They have had a rough patch of away matches in the last three, facing Leicester City, Manchester City and Liverpool in succession. It will not be easy against Arsenal but looking at the Gunners’ season, the Hammers will want to approach this game with a confident attitude. However, a run of just one win in their last nine meetings with Arsenal will not be the form West Ham want to carry here.
