The relegation word isn't being mentioned at the Emirates now, it's the usual hopes of European qualification. The Gunners start this set of Premier League games in 11th, three places and a point ahead of visitors Crystal Palace. Arsenal had gone seven league games without a win and dropping down the table. However, the last three and an FA Cup tie have all been won with ten goals scored and just one conceded. A closer look at the opposition is needed though before confirming Arsenal are fully back on track. Their three league wins have come against Chelsea, Brighton and West Brom, not an in-form team in sight there. The same goes for their FA Cup opponents Newcastle United and now they face Crystal Palace. Arsenal have at least ended their terrible run of form at the Emirates. They have four points from their last two home league games and will be confident of getting another win here. With another home game against Newcastle, their hopes of making it into the Champions League will be increasing even more. At the moment, they are only six points behind fourth place but from a game more.

Crystal Palace are having their usual inconsistent season. They are 14th but 11 points clear of the bottom three and only seven points off the top four. They had gone five league games without a win before beating bottom-of-the-table Sheffield United at home. Only three points had been earned from those five games, the kind of poor run that Palace always seem to have at least a couple of times a season. The weekend saw them beaten 1-0 at Wolves in the third round of the FA Cup. Away form has seen just two wins in the last seven, both against sides currently in the relegation zone. Palace have only had one away league win at Arsenal since 1994, another loss there looks likely here.
