Sixth seed Amanda Anisimova takes on 26th seed Madison Keys in the third round at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. Their second career meeting is also their first at a major. Keys on seven straight victories is our prediction to win here.

Anisimova kept her quest for a Wimbledon title on track after a scary second-round duel with compatriot Sofia Kenin. The American won a third-round tiebreaker 10-3 to overcome a relentless Kenin, seeking to build up some momentum.

Last season, Anisimova had her best-ever performance at SW19, finishing as runner-up. Currently down to seventh place in the live ranking, Anisimova has a head-to-head advantage over Keys. She won their showdown at last year’s WTA Finals in three sets.

Keys will not be fazed by Anisimova’s H2H advantage, as she is in a rich vein of form. The American has won the last seven fixtures.

She is coming off a straight-sets victory over the wildcard Katie Swan. Keys, who has lost just once in 10 grass outings, has seen her form gradually pick up after a tough start to the year.

Things started to improve for the one-time Grand Slam champion at the start of the clay season. She has won 20 of the 25 matches she has played in this period, improving her record to 28-10. Keys, who is a two-time Wimbledon quarter-finalist, sits 23rd in the live ranking.
