Key Dates and Schedule Changes for 2026-27 Premier League Season

The 2026 World Cup will wrap up on Sunday with Spain taking on Argentina at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, and soon after, focus will shift back to club competition, with the 2026-27 Premier League season set to kick off on August 21.

The reset button has been pressed leading up to the new campaign, with as many as seven top-flight clubs having changed managers during the summer break, squads have been strengthened across the board, and expectations are soaring.

Arsenal will return as defending champions after ending their 22-year wait to get back to the summit of the Premier League, while the three new arrivals - Coventry City, Ipswich Town and Hull City - will be aiming to survive the drop and possibly become one of the league’s surprise packages.
