Leicester vs Atletico take 2!
Leicester and Atletico go head to head once again, this time in the 2nd leg of the quarter finals of the 2016/17 Champions League. This time around Leicester City host the Spanish club and they have a big game ahead of them if they wish to make it to the next stage of the competition. Atletico hosted the former Premier League winners in the first leg and they won 1-0 at home. Now Leicester must get one back all the while making sure they don’t conceive an away goal. Atletico are a very experienced side. They are currently in 3rd place in La Liga and they are well versed in the Champions League too. They have reached the final in the last 2 years of the competition so they have a strong chance of getting there again. Leicester are not to be trifled with either. They fought off all competition last season in the Premier League to win it out with ease, breaking records all the way. They may not be going as good this season but in the Champions League they cannot be faulted. They topped their group fighting off FC Porto, FC Copenhagen and Club Brugge. They’ve also seen off Sevilla in the last 16.

In the first leg and the first ever meeting of these teams, Atletico hosted the English side. Atletico at home, managed to beat the former Premier League winners 1-0, the goal coming from Griezmann from the penalty spot around the half hour mark. Apart from the penalty the teams appeared evenly matched. Although they have the lead going into this game, we fancy Leicester to fight relentlessly, get a goal, maybe 2 and secure their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League. Leicester City at home, with all their fans coming out to support them we think they definitely have what it takes to dominate the Spanish club and prevent them from appearing in their 3rd consecutive Champions League final.
