image FA Cup Round 2
The FA Cup second round takes place this week as non-league teams like Oxford City, Slough Town and Flyde hope to qualify for a chance to draw with a Premier League side. 40 teams compete in the second round, 20 go through to face the Championship and Premier League sides.

The shockers

FA Cup Trophy

Hereford, who lie in the seventh-tier, will face a trip away to Fleetwood. They are the lowest ranked team in the second round. Even more astonishing is Flyde, who are into their first Fa Cup second round in their history. They face 2013 winners Wigan Wanderers. They will be first up to face each other on Friday, the match being held in Flyde. You can never write off the small teams in the FA Cup, anything could happen. The odds are 8.50 with Betstars!!. An amazing odd and worth the shot, especially as they are at home.

These games will be tight

Wigan Athletic FA Cup

On Saturday Stevenage will take on Swindon Town is a very high contested match. Both teams lie in League two, the fourth tier in English football. Swindon Town lie in 8th on32 points, Stevenage 6 points behind in 15th. Both teams have 8 losses this season out of 20 games, with Swindon’s goal difference on 5, 10 more than Stevenage’s -5. You could bet on the home crowd to win it at 2.75 with Betstars, or go for a more likely winner with Swindon Town, who are rated at 2.70 with William Hill! Both great odds indeed and it certainly can go either way. Exeter City travel to face Forest Green Rovers, a new addition to the League Two. Exeter are having a good season near the top of the table, in 4th and only 5 points off the top, it is looking good so far for their promotion hopes to League One. Forest Green are struggling for their lives near the relegation zone and won’t want to be back in the National League. They are 3 points from the bottom of League Two. Here is a good chance to make a lot of money. Exeter are rated at 2.40 with Betway.

The favourites in round 2

Blackburn FA Cup

Certainly the favourites in this round are the teams in the League One. Wigan who are leaders in the league are the favourites and face an easy opponent, according to the papers. But this is the FA Cup remember with so many upsets. Blackburn Rovers would be another favourites. Once premier league champions, they now find themselves in League One with very little home attendance, one of the worst in the league. They face Crew Alexandra who according to the odds, have no chance. But we back Crewe here. Two favourites will go head to head. AFC Wimbledon, who have one of the best attendances in the league will host big boys Charlton Athletic. Wimbledon are rated at 2.60 with Betstars and are definitely worth the bet.
