Chelsea may have their toughest challenge of the season so far as they push to break through Arsenal's seemingly impenetrable defense at home. The Gunners just held Bayern Munich, the team with the most goals in Europe, to one goal in their 3-1 UCL win. Can that defense keep Chelsea at bay and extend their lead at the top of the EPL?

Chelsea Looks to Cut Arsenal's League Lead to Three Points

After a questionable start to the season, Chelsea are now firmly in the title race with only six points separating them and Arsenal at the top. A home win over the Gunners will see that gap drop to just three points, making them legitimate title contenders as we enter December. But can The Blues break Europe's best defence today?

Our football experts might have the answers, which you can check out in our Chelsea vs Arsenal prediction. The winner is up for debate, but one thing is clear. It's going to be an incredibly tough game for the home team. Arsenal conceded just six goals this season, almost half of what Chelsea has allowed (11).

But if any team can break the Gunners’ fortress, Chelsea is definitely one of them. The Blues have scored the third most goals (23) and are just one behind Arsenal. Chelsea have also now scored in 18 straight games, and capped that run with a stunning 3-0 win over Barcelona in the UCL.

With several in-form players like Estevao, Enzo Fernandez, Reece James, and Caicedo expected to start, Chelsea might just beat the Gunners in the league for the first time since 2021.

Can Arsenal Take Three Points Off Chelsea After Shock Bayern Beatdown?

The Gunners are riding high in Europe after beating Bayern, which many called the best team in Europe. They held the German team to just one goal for the first time this season, while netting three, which is also the most Bayern have conceded in the 25/26 campaign.

Unsurprisingly, Arsenal are the clear favorites in this game. They've won 12 of their last 13 games. However, their away performances haven't been as convincing as their home record.

Five of the seven points the Gunners have dropped this season were on the road, with an early-season loss to Liverpool (1-0) and a surprising draw to Sunderland (2-2). Now, on the road to Chelsea, we may as well see Arsenal dropping some more points.

Still, Arsenal should feel confident on this ground, as they've not lost a league game at Stamford Bridge since 2018.
