How to Play the bet365 Premier League Fantasy Football Game

preview-premier-league-9It's important that you know exactly how to play the bet365 Premier League Fantasy Football Game. The rules aren't too complicated and everything is explained on the bet365 website.

There are cash prizes for the top 10,000 players at the end of the season. Don't despair if you're struggling as there are also manager of the month awards that can be won. The top prize is £50,000 so just imagine how you'll feel if you have a chance of winning that amount.

You have until October 1st to register a side. However, it's best to submit your squad before the first Premier League game is played on Friday August 11th. That's when Burnley host Manchester City. A good chance for Erling Haaland to get some early points?

Just select your squad of 15 Premier League players and hope they soon start scoring goals, making assists and keeping clean sheets. You have £100 million to spend on your squad. It must be fantasy because in the real world that wouldn't be enough to sign Kylian Mbappe. Who knows, he might move to the Premier League and you could put him in your squad!

You receive points for the performances of your players in Premier League games. For example, if a striker scores a goal, that's four points for your team. If it's a midfielder scoring, five points are earned and six if a defender is on target. Oh, if your goalie scores, then that's eight points. It's three points for an assist which can come in handy.

A clean sheet sees goalkeepers and defenders earn four points and just one for midfield players. Disasters can happen and you will have two points taken off your total if a player scores an own goal. If at least two goals are conceded by your goalie/defenders, then that's -1 point. A penalty miss costs your player two points. Being the player who causes a penalty also sees two points deducted.

It's good news if your goalie saves a penalty as that will earn you a bumper five points. Each save your goalie makes gets you 0.5 points. One point is lost for a yellow card and a red one sees three points lost. Transfers are allowed during the season but you can't have more than three players from the same club in your squad.

How to Pick a Winning Team

preview-premier-league-6

Just how do you choose your squad of 15 Premier League players?  The first major decision is who to make your captain as they score double points. You also need to select a vice-captain who will take over if your captain doesn't play. It might be a no-brainer to make Haaland your captain (he costs £12.5m) but most players will  be thinking the same. Perhaps choose someone like Son of Tottenham. He's a midfielder and scores a fair few goals, so very handy and costs £9m.

Keep a good eye on statistics and team news because that will help you choose a strong squad. One free transfer is allowed each week with additional ones costing you four points. You can save the free transfers up so perhaps do that for a few weeks and then reassess your squad. It's not easy to choose squads at the start of the season with no form guide available.

Don't always go for the usual suspects. As with Haaland, plenty of players will choose Salah, Saka, Rashford and Jesus. Gamble and try to find some players that will consistently score you some points and don't cost a fortune. For goalkeepers, you may just want to choose the ones that will keep clean sheets. However, it's 0.5 points for every save made. That means you could choose a goalkeeper from a weaker side such as Luton or Nottingham Forest. They may well concede goals but their goalie might have to make plenty of saves and rack up some points.
